Meet our Board of Directors
Craig Herendeen, President
A graduate of St. Mary's College, and a Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter, Craig served as an executive in the insurance and automotive industries for 34 years.
Now in retirement at Pine Mountain Lake, Craig is focused on his golf game, building his dream home, and on raising funds for his various charities.
Dave Hodapp, Vice President
Dave has a Ph.D in Chemistry from UC Davis, and managed their health and safety training programs. Dave taught Chemistry and Environmental Technology at Cosumnes River College until his retirement.
Dave now applies his love for chemistry to the production of ceramics and glazes, with a studio in the multi-media, E Street Gallery, in Sacramento.
Clayton D. Chinn, Treasurer & Counsel
Clay has a J.D. from Golden Gate University Law School, and after practicing law in the Bay Area for 25 years, is largely retired. He currently designs and manufactures boarding devices for the sailing industry.
When he's not working, or volunteering for his favorite charities, you'll find Clay out on the water - floating in a raft, a kayak, or a sailboat.
Alayna Chinn, Secretary & Student Liaison
How did ReConnect begin? Alayna identified waste, connected it to a social benefit, recruited volunteers, and urged the board to bring it all to fruition. Alayna is the true inspiration behind ReConnect, and is rightly our founder.
Alayna is a Senior at Castro Valley High School, and is currently applying to college, with a focus on biomedical engineering.
